Today’s the day!
Round 2 of the Obama Skirt Project (Official title: From Here I Saw What Happened And I Could Not Understand) starts today. In fact, it’s going on right now :) I am stuck in my apartment with a stomach flu or some yucky bug… But despite this, all continues to work out well. Last night, my neighbor just happened to be at Wunmi’s studio and was able to bring back my round 2 dress :) the last woman to join, Tramaine just happened to be riding over this way and my kanga dress just happened to fit her :) Lisa volunteered to take photos, but most of the women have found someone to do it for them. And in a fit of common sense, I scheduled our meet and greet @ the library down the street from my house. So, if my stomach’s still squidgy @ 6:30. I can run for it and hurl when I get there… Not exactly how I planned it… But it is kind of nice to know the project is stable enough to go on without me… Yep yep… So yeah… 12 women, each wearing her own Obama Skirt 1x/week for 12 weeks mostly in BedStuy and Crown Heights… Will post links to their blogs on my website tonight www.aishacousins.com Thanks to all who made it happen!
